Hi friends,

I have recently got the ILR. Just have a few questions in case any who got ILR can share their view

1) on the passport stamp all it says is 'residence permit' with indefinite expiry. And has got DOB. Its very basic than work permit stamp. Is that how it is supposed to be?
2) the confirmation letter from UKBA is just a photocopy again doesn't seem original like wp letter.
3) what happens if I don't want to go for British citizenship after a year. Does this make any difference in future i.e changing immigration rules, govt decides a cap on ILR so no longer remains indefinite.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

3) If Govt. is to introduce any cap on ILR, It will not apply to people who have already received ILR. I don't think any other changed will apply retrospectively to people who already hold ILR, cause the Goal is already scored once someone gets ILR. There is no point in then trying to shift the goalpost.
