Hi,

I have my appointment at Solihull next week. I meet all the criteria but one, i.e I have one >90 days absence and have employers letter to support the fact that it was a business requirement.

I have seen some posts whee people have mentioned that they had submitted a covering letter. Is this necessary? Will it help with not-s-straight forward cases like mine to have a covering letter explaining the situation and requesting the CW to use his/her discretion?

Would appreciate if you can advise...

Covering letter would always be helpful if you need to communicate your not so straightforward situation. But keep it short and include details only pertaining to your >90 absence.
