ILR (Tier 1 - 5 years) - Sucess - Croydon 9 Feb 2012

Post by aditipritam » Thu Feb 09, 2012 7:54 pm

Hi,

Thanks to all for help.
Got ILR today from Croydon. My situation was:
1) 2 years on WP
2) 3 years on Tier 1
3) I was the main applicant
4) switched jobs when I got Tier 1

After the usual drill i.e. paper check, security, reception (for getting token number) and payment, CW called me after 50 mins I got the token. And this is what happened:

1) Asked for application form and passport
2) checked on his system for 10 mins
3) asked me if I have changed jobs
4) asked me where I was working now and the company name
5) asked for company letter
6) kept looking on system, doing some calculations on paper for 10 mins
7) then asked for salary slips, P60, bank statements, Life in UK
8) was very happy when i provided photo copied along with everything
9) asked me my salary. he didn't even cross checked bank statements and salary slips... he was happy with what i told him
10) that's all,, he said I am happy to approve ur application.. come back in 40-45 mins to collect ur passport.
That i did gladly :)

Overall, if your papers are complete, there is nothing to worry at all. They try to accommodate as much as possible.

Good luck to all. and my sincere thanks as well.

Company letter format

Post by ghs007 » Mon Feb 13, 2012 12:07 pm

hi aditipritam, my question is also same as sinamib, did they ask employer letter from previous employer while you were on work permit? or only current employer letter?

My case is also ditto as yours, only worry is I dont have any letter from my previous employer but I do have P45 and P60s for last 5 years.

Can you/anyone please suggest if that will be a problem not having previous employer letter ?

many thanks

Hi aditipritam,

I was in Workpermit for first 7 months then switched to HSMP and extended to Tier-1. When I applied for HSMP (initial application) i showed my India salary. Salary during workpermit duration was never shared/showed.

I switched employer after I got HSMP, similar situation as yours.

Looks like you were not asked for any payslips for the workpermit duration and only last 12months was required with P60 for past 5 years. I dont have P60 for all 5 years but do have slary slips for the workpermit duration. Is that good enough?

Thanks and Regards
