Hi,

My ILR ( Tier 1 G )is due in May 2012.

I have been teaching in a college ( business management at level 5, 6 and 7 ).

Apart from that I am providing private tuitions to GCSE and A level students. My invoices will show these from @15/hr to @25/hr.

Will it be considered as highly skilled ( as I am on Tier 1 ). Can case worker say that teaching ( specially at GCSE level ) is not a highly skilled job.

Please advise.

There is no provision that I am aware of; which excludes any type of job to be considered under Tier-1 except in some medical roles (doctor in practice or dentist).

Your hourly rates or teaching to GCSE / A level students is an addition to your regular job of teaching in college and as such one can show income from a variety of sources for previous earning, So I see no reason why your Income from part time teaching cannot be claimed for your previous earnings.
