Hi All

My work permit was issued in May 2007 Job title (IT programmer and system support) and since then I am working for a company.
My current salary is 27K

Question

a) In COP list required salary for Programmer is 26K, Am I covered with this?
b) Do 35K salary threshold applies on when I am applying in May 2012?

I am confused , please help

I think 35K threshold will be implemented from 2016.

The £35k threshold is for tier 2, not for WP.

But i most cases what applies to Tier2 applicable for WP holder as well

And the job title I should pick from SOC list should be "Programmer" b/c there's nothing for "IT programmer and system support".

That’s what I thought that the threshold will apply to both WP and Tier-2. Greenie, please can you shed some more light on it ?

On page no 4

"From 6 April 2016, those applying for settlement from Tier 2 and who entered Tier 2 under the rules in force from 6 April 2011 must be paid at least £35,000 per annum or the going rate in the relevant UK Border Agency Code of Practice, whichever is higher."

so this mean its not applicable to any one who got WP or Tier2 before April, 2011.

But WP holders must have salary level under COP which was not a requirement before..
