Hi,

I need to make an application for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in UK as a spouse. Now I would like to make an appointment into one of the Public enquiry office and get it done on the same day using their premium service.

I know you have to complete 2 years in UK as a Spouse for ILR application. By I know you can apply within 28 days before completing full 2 years. Is that the same case for in person application? Do I have to complete full 24 months if I want to apply for ILR in person, or can I make an appointment and apply in person after 23 months and 2days?

Many Thanks in advance for your help.

You can attend same day service within 28 days before the 2 years period. I mean after 1 year and 11 months.. The rule of 28 days is same for PEO or postal..

You can apply no earlier than 28 days before the 2nd anniversary of when you first entered the UK on your spouse visa.

I am wondering if you are applying on SET(O) or SET(M) ???

Casa, would the 28 days prior rule apply to either case ?

'I need to make an application for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in UK as a spouse'

sunil.suneel I'll let one of the other members respond to SET(O) timescale. I believe it's no earlier than 28 days before visa expiry, but wait for confirmation on that...see this thread:

Thanks for replying so quickly

Thanks everyone for replying so promptly. Apparantly I called UKBA earlier to ask the same matter. They mentioned that applying for ILR as a spouse you can apply within 28 Days before 2 year completion date. The rule is same for postal application and In person appointment.

The UKBA 'help line' advice is slightly misleading. It's not 28 days before the expiry date. What date did you enter the UK on the Spouse visa?

Hi Casa, I entered UK on 10 June 2010. So on 10 June 2012 i will complete 2 years. What I can understand from the UKBA customer service explanation that I can apply via an in person appointment after 12 May 2012. Don't have to wait till 10 June 2012 for making an in person application for same day premium service.

Please correct me if this is worng.

Hi there,

I am going for ILR in 3 months. I have to show 35000 in the last 12 months from 15 months. I have reached 35000 in the first 12 months but suddenly due bad market my salary has been reduced as pat of cost cutting to 27000. That is the problem. Though I had 35000 gross pay but what should I say to the case worker if he asks why less salary in the last 3 months and is there any chance of rejecting my ILR?.
