Hi,

End of august it will be 9 years that I have lived in the UK legally. I first entered the country end of August 2003. I am currently on a psw visa expiring in may 2013. I am short by 3 months and a few days, I have never overstayed and have no convictions. I am starting a new job in a bank and I am wondering if I can apply for ILR before my visa expires as I do not meet the new salary requirements for tier 1 general visa.

Thank you,

Johan

Unfortunately you can't. You'll need some way to extend your residence in the UK for a further 3 months (Student visa?)
