OK,
Im just throwing some Ideas around...
so for Self Employed in Ireland, France ETC, do I have to register with that countries tax office?
Do I need a bank in THAT country?
Do i need to "EXPORT" my car?
I know the profitability of a "Business" does not matter... and the fact is, my brother in law has actually offered to help us out where he can with my wifes immigration (the problem being solicitors have said we are throwing money away etc so we dont want to waste his money etc)...
however, Im very well versed in IT... Web Design , Programming ETC... as well as photography, ETC.
I can easily set up a website, etc, advertise my photographic services. and (this is the only problem) if i dont get business... Filter some "Donations" from my brother in law into a business account - for invoices for work (Mr XYZ paid E120, Mrs S Paid £80...) Etc...
As i stated in our thread... We have tried all of the "inside the rules" approaches so far, and would prefer to move to Ireland (language / culture simularities ETC) but if we are going to be out of the country... why not have a nice holiday etc for a few months at the same time.
Now, I understand that this could be (well IS) false representations...
and I would be liable for the tax at X% of 2 or £3000, (which to ensure my wife gets a "legitimate" stay in the UK [to be with her children and myself] is a small price to pay...).
What are the problems which could arise from this approach? Obviously Self Employed people can also be Employed... (I have been self employed on various ventures and paid tax in the uk for a long time in addition to working a full week - for this reason i understand that a business will take time to build up. - but im not essentially self employed until i begin to earn money... hence: filter some invoices into the business for "Day-rate photo shoots" - hell, i could even go to paris by the eifel tower with a printer and snap-n-print pics of couples... or w/e...
has anybody any information on this approach?
