EEA2 for my baby advice plssssss

Applied for EEA2 for my son in November and received the Acknowledgement letter dated the 26th of Nov, am yet to receive the COA. My friend was saying maybe they don't send COA to babies just the Acknowledgement letter. Does it take this long to come? Cos mine didn't take this long and am applying through my lawyer. She's not really saying what I want to hear right now. Have already book ticket to travel in June , just want to be sure everything is okay and I will receive my son's passport back before June. Thanks
