EEA extended family member (unmarried) Help needed.

Post by debvil » Wed Sep 03, 2014 10:17 am

My partner is an EEA national living in the UK and I'm not a non-EU resident. We have decided to try this route so i can join him to get married. We were just wondering if we will be assessed on immigration rules or EEA regulations and what will it implied? Can we get married using this route and how much does it usually cost to go through with it? Any other options will be welcome too..

How long have you and your partner been in a relationship?

Have you lived together, or have a child?

EEA national cannot sponsor a partner on fiance visa any longer.

So if your don't qualify as an Extended family member, you can be granted entry.

We've been together and lived together for almost 3 years but have no child yet.
Do we still qualify as an extended family member?
Thanks a lot for your response.

You may be able to qualify on the basis of your relationship.

Thank you so much for your help. Would you know if it doesn't work what other options are available to us?
