Please help, I am so sad. About my 4 yr old child's EEA 2!

Hi,
Long story short. I am dual Romanian/American citizen, and have applied for my American citizen 4 year old child to receive his EEA card. I have sent in the passports, but unfortunately sent photocopies of birth certificate, and other proof that I was exercising the treaty. That was my fault, I did not know that I couldn't send them photocopied...unfortunately, for that they denied his EEA2 card. Worst part about it is that we need to go to the US in November, so that he can get renew his passport. We cannot do it at the embassy here since his dad is not here in UK.

What do we do? We have to go to the US. He is my child, I have every right to stay here, and so does he. HE IS 4!!!! That paper said that they have his information and is facing deportation, WTH? I'm sorry, I don't understand. We are self sufficient, pay taxes, child is taken care of, no kind of government assistance!!

I understand that a EEA card is NOT required to stay here, but it makes travel easier. I will be 6 months pregnant when I come back from the US at the end of December. Are they not going to let us into the country or what? Please advise, I am freaking out. Thank you so much for any advice

Americans are non-visa national to UK. Therefore, I believe they should be allowed to enter UK on their passports/travel document.

Why panic? You can do reconsideration request, write them a letter urging them to reconsider their decision, and submit the Original copies of the documents, you may as well submit a new application and request passport back if you need to travel.
