Urgent help about Passport Passback Service

Dear All

My wife applied for an EEA Family permit while availing Passport Passback Service. We were informed by VFS that they will send us a reminder to submit our passport after 10 working days and we have to submit the passport maximum by 20th working day otherwise our application will be automatically refused.

To our surprise we received a decision email from UKVI on the 7th working day itself stating following:

Thank you for your UK visa application. A decision has now been made on your application and has been despatched along with the documentation submitted.

The completed application has been dispatched to the Visa Application Centre for them to process and forward to you, in accordance with your instructions to them.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an automated message - do not respond to this email address as incoming mail is not answered. If you need to reply telephone the office dealing with your application, quoting your reference number ## VAF No. ##.

What does it mean, has the visa been rejected cause normally they had to ask for the passport first incase it was at all approved.

Any insight or help or experience shared by GURUs will be great. Cause we are totally scared that it means EEA FP has been rejected.
