Expired EEA FP

Hi,
I hope someone can help me.
My son EEA fp expired last march 2015 until now we still didn't renew it, are they going to deport him? Though he's studying here. And if we renew it for residence permit this year is he still allow for that?

If he has the right to residence in the UK under the EEA regulations, then he should be okay.
