Bar coded letter

Post by caps lock » Sat Feb 13, 2016 8:17 pm

Hi

I sent an app for residence card to home office for my son who is 14 months old.
Few days after got the letter fron home office saying that:
"As you are under the age of 16, you must be accompanied by responsible person when you attend post office to enroll your biometrical info (photograph and fingerprints).
This information was missing from your app. Please provide the following info below, and return this form to ukvi at the address shown at the top od the letter"
Then there are a few lines for name, nationality etc.
And at the end of letter:
Please return this form by (20 days) including any relevant docs by post or your app will be rejected."

My question is:
I did not provide digital photo (thougt that one taken with photo studio is ok, so I went straight to post office with baby but they said that I need barcoded letter which I do not have.
I am confused, as I need to wait a few more weeks for bar coded letter to arrive and I have only 20 days until they refuse my app.

OR, shall I just send them letter which i received with those few lines filled?

Sorry for long post and thank you

It seems you did not complete the biometrics section of the application form in the first place.
So that is what you have been asked to complete and return (within 20 days).

You have not been asked to go to a Post Office to enrol biometrics just yet.
That will come later on in the process.

First of all you need to return the form with the details as requested.
