When did you obtain your residence card in the UK?

I got my residence card in 2009 and in 2014 I have applied for PR and the application was rejected as my sponsor is not a qualified person . then I appealed against the decision, the court allowed my appeal and today I received the 5 year residence permit again. Do I need to wait another 5 years to apply for PR and then only I will be able to sponsor my wife?

sending Reconsideration letter after HO issued RC

Post by saimithran28 » Thu Mar 31, 2016 1:20 am

Hi Everyone,

I need your advise.

Actually I got my Residence card (as an extended family member of an EEA national ) in 2009 and I applied for PR in 2014. But the HO refused my application and I went to court and the court allowed my appeal and also said they didn't have any income proof in-front of them regarding my EEA sponsor's self employment, that's why the court gave permission to HO to take decision .

Today I received my RC for 5 years. Actually my lawyer forgot to submit all proof to court. Shall I now send all the tax letters from the Inland Revenue with a covering letter to HO to reconsidering the decision to grant me a PR. Is it possible and worth it.

I am now 50 years and still I cant start my family life, because I cant sponsor my wife who is in another country.

thanking you in advance for your help.
