timescale for EU visa applications

Post by nitina » Sun Aug 27, 2017 11:41 am

I am an EU national ( Cyprus). i sent my permanent residency form as EU national in the middle of August this year. I sent my application on paper ( not online) with all the supporting documents. I made the application just for myself without including any family members. payment was taken already.

should they have sent me a confirmation email that my application is in process for paper applications ? I know it maybe too early but does the home office usually give some sort of sign or indication that the application will most likely be successful from other people's experiences? please advice

You should receive an email with a case ID in the next weeks. All the process usually takes 2-3 months.

hi thanks for your reply. if they send a case ID, does that mean it is a good sign or they send it anyway to anyone whether it is successful or not?

They send it to anyone applying for something. It's just a number to recognize your application.
