Non EU spouse entering UK exercising treaty rights

Post by r0bb0 » Mon Nov 26, 2018 7:16 pm

Hi,

Myself (UK national) and my wife (Filipino) have been living in Spain for 3 years (she has residency card here) and are looking to move to the UK very soon. We have visited the UK eighteen months ago and had a terrible time boarding the plane and an attempted refusal at Manchester airport, but once we stood our ground and stated we knew our rights her passport was stamped with "exercising treaty rights". Does this make entering the UK easier the next time and can we apply for a family permit after we have entered?
