EEA Family Permit on Arrival

Post by alespedro » Sun Feb 03, 2019 8:54 pm

Hello everyone!

I am a Brazilian national (residing in Brazil) and my fiancé is an EU National, but working in the UK for the past 3 years.
We plan to get married in Europe, then go straight to our future home in the UK. As a tourist I do not need to request any visa priorly, so I am planing to request the FP on arrival.

In theory - based on UK Immigration Officers Guidances - they should analyse my case at the border (and I intend to bring all documents required). So I would like to know if any of you guys tried this and if did it work?

I will add here some interesting links I have found on the web.

Acording to the UK GOV
"No EEA family permit or residence card is held
Third-country national family members who do not hold an EEA family permit, a residence card issued by the UK, or by another EEA member state in accordance with article 10 of the Free Movement Directive (2004/38/EC), should not be denied admission for lack of such a document alone. You should assess whether or not a person qualifies for admission under the EEA Regulations, taking note of the guidance on those who seek admission under the extended family member provisions.cording to the UK GOV"

Thank you!!
