DCPR application: comprehensive sickness insurance

Hi,

I am a French citizen and have been living in the UK for 13 years now (studying and working) and I am currently applying for my DCPR in order to get my British citizenship.

There is one detail I am very confused about and I am hoping some of you might have some answers. The list of documents required states the following: "Evidence that Miss xxxxx has comprehensive sickness insurance, such as a European Health Insurance Card not issued by the UK, form S1, S2 or S3, or evidence of comprehensive private medical insurance".

As a French citizen, do I need to obtain my EHIC before I can bring my documents to the appointment or will it technically be issued by the UK as I live and work here? Does this mean I need to get private medical insurance or is there a way around this? As a French citizen, I still get the benefits of the "Securite Sociale" as long as I keep my French nationality. What does this all mean for my application? Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
