BRC change to EUSS or Citizenship

Hi Team,

I have a very simple question and I couldn't find an answer online.

My wife came via non-EEA route, I'm european national and she is outside of the EU.

She had a BRC for over 5 years. She applied online for the settlment status and she got the permanent one (online checkable only).

She does qualify for the citizenship, but was wondering if she can apply for a citizenship and there is no need to apply to replace the BRC with EUSS card first?

However, she must be in the UK and satisfy all the requirements.
