travel while Waiting for replacement me EEA BRC for settlement BRP

Post by goodpartner » Wed Aug 30, 2023 1:05 pm

Hi all,

I have tried to research the forum on the topic but could not find a definite answer, though, I am sure I have seen one.

Could somebody share experience in regard to travel with BRC due to expire in a month while waiting for a new one.

I have got settled status but my previous card will expire and that is why I applied for a new one. Considering that it can take up to 6 months, I would ideally use this time for travelling.

Thank you for your answers!

Hi!
I hope this will give you some help.
Granted Settled status on 25 July 2023
As I'm a non-EU family member, to get a new BRP I had to book a biometric appointment. The quickest free one was on 18.08.2023.
A new BRP arrived today, 2 weeks after a biometric appointment.

I'm not sure what kind of an answer you would expect.

You can travel as long as your current BRC is valid; if it's not valid, you would not be able to board a plane to UK.
Not a qualified immigration adviser. Use links and references given to gain confirmation and/or extra information.
