eeat refused due to employment details

I was refused an eea2 visa because, the home office could not reach the number shown on the employers letter as they claimed it is a dead line.I personaly rang the number and it is a live line.Theres also an email address on the letter and pay slips attached.Do I stand a chance of winning an appeal?There are other 2 numbers that are dead lines and cncelled in black ink by the employer.we also submitted pay slips and bank statements.
what should i do in this matter?I am confused.
