Appreciate guidance anyone might have - I browsed quite a few topics here but couldn't find much on this one!
My background:
- Am living in the UK
- Am the non-EEA family member of an EEA national who is living in the UK
- Have been on a Residence Document/Card for nearly 5 years, awarded back in 2006 based on the above
Current situation:
- Am about to apply for Permanent Residence (EEA4)
- Processing times sound like they are around 6 months
- My passport is likely to be "visa-less" between my Residence Document/Card expiring and then receiving the Premanent Residence stamp/document, perhaps for a number of months
- I need to travel internationally for work regularly (am already familiar with how to request my passport back, I have no questions about this)
My questions:
- What will my Visa status be according to the Immigration Officer who is granting/denying me entry to the UK, given that my Residence Document/Card will have expired and Permanent Residence stamp/document not yet received?
- While I await the Permanent Residence stamp or document, how can I re-enter the UK?
- Should I get a temporary Visa of some sort?
Thanks!
