permanent residence

Post by permanent » Mon Jun 06, 2011 11:46 pm

Due to rearing my child, I work less than 16 hours a week, and am currently receiving some state benefit. I'm an EEA national and will have been present in the UK for 5 years next year. I have a two part question.

(a)As I work less than 16 hours a week, as far as exercising treaty rights is concerned, will this still be considered as genuine and effective work?

(b) In light of the above, would receiving state benefit, negatively affect my application for permanent residence?

Thank you for your assistance.
