Got COA is it enough for work

Post by Samelamin » Sat Jan 14, 2012 12:19 pm

Hi

I just received my COA but I am currently on my probation

will my work be able to give me a years contract? or will they have to let me go at the end of my probation?

Only way to know is to ask your employer or a soothsayer! I'd wager on the former though.

Thats what I am worried about

The only thing I can think of is for them to extend my probation to another 3 months in the hopes i get it before my next probation ends

Also doesnt the fact that I can prove I am married to an eea national be enough for them to give me a years contract

The rule state that since I am married I do not need a permit, the residence card is just a confirmation of the rule rather than a permit

So if i give my employers my partners ea card and get a copy of the marriage cert from our council, should that suffice?

I really am worried of being let go because it happend to me in October but I was not married then, I was told i did not fulfuill my obligations even though i did everything that was asked of me. But they couldnt give me a years contract as my visa runs out this July
