It is dated the day they issue it but as I understand from reading about it if you provide information for more than 5 years they will count the effective date from the 5th anniversary of the start of period covered. So I sent proofs from 2010-2016 to make the 5 years 2010-2014. They will record somewhere in their database the actual date they consider the PR started, and the 1 year then rolls from there.Grodan wrote:
Also in case anyone knows; Is the PR backdated or will it strictly be issued on the same date as application approval? Don't fancy waiting 12 months for citizenship application when I've been here for 18 years just cause of the date on the PR card.
Thanks
This is the link to request passports back https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outrea ... ments.ofml.darekdarek wrote:Hi
I have sent my eea (pr) form on 21.05.2016 and recived confirmation e-mail on 23.06.2016.
I have read that some of You request passports back before end of the process so I just wonder how to request it and if that will not affect my application.
If it is possible to get my passports back please provide me with information how to do it and what is the best time to do it without any issues to my application.
Thanks
I applied online here: https://www.gov.uk/visa-documents-returned and got my passport back in 10 days. Be careful not to tick "yes" to "do you want to withdraw the application"!darekdarek wrote:Hi

Just want to know how quick (hmm, slow) HO is now.
BTW: How do I add a signature to my profile?
Thank you, Tony. I sent my application a month later than you and thought I would get my DCPR by the end of July but this doesn't look goodTony2015 wrote: Hello nosana1 this is My timetable:

I applied on the same date as Tony but have still not received the DCPR (although I received a confirmation email in early May). The wait is killing me; I sent a pre-paid signed-for envelope for the return of my documents so am obsessed... keep refreshing the Royal Mail tracker...nosana1 wrote:Thank you, Tony. I sent them a special delivery envelope with my application for my passport to be returned but they used their own special delivery envelope.treski wrote: I applied on the same date as Tony but have still not received the DCPR (although I received a confirmation email in early May). Thanks for the info! Did they send the DCPR and the documents together?nosana1 wrote:I sent them a special delivery envelope with my application for my passport to be returned but they used their own special delivery envelope.treski wrote: I applied on the same date as Tony but have still not received the DCPR (although I received a confirmation email in early May). I haven't got DCPR or my documents yet ... just my passport as I requested it back. I don't think they will use my envelope now as it was pre-paid only for something like 100 grams weight.treski wrote:Thanks for the info! Out of curiosity... did they send you your special delivery envelope inside their own envelope???

There seemed to be a steady stream of cards issued up to 20th June (last date I noted down from this forum). I wonder if they are waiting for some internal clearance to continue business as usual, following the vote, or if they have been told to not send any out for awhile. I know a lot of people are not registered here but you would think that at least one person on here had a card issued in the last 18 days...hellothere19 wrote:There seems to be a delay indeed, maybe because we had Easter holidays late March/early April, there is a delay as ppl might have taken a break?
I was expecting it around 20/7, but I don't think it will happen at all this month. I only hope they will post to my work address as I requested, since I am moving home shortlyBumble wrote:There seemed to be a steady stream of cards issued up to 20th June (last date I noted down from this forum). Same - if I see one issued after the 24/6 I would feel a lot happier they were just snowed under - now all sorts of conspiracy theories spring to mind ^^hellothere19 wrote: I was expecting it around 20/7, but I don't think it will happen at all this month. Fingers crossed we see the PR cards being issued soon! It stresses me out a bit
