eea application problems

I can anyone help ? been in the UK since 2001 Illegally met my partner in2005 who is a EU national had a child in 2011 we send a application for a Residence card on the 18/12/2011 Coa on 18/01/2012 nothing from that date its a unmarried partner app anyone knows what the outcome maybe?
