This should be a very simple question but I cannot find an answer to it:

I, the EEA national, is a student.

Is it only me who need a CSI?

Does the CSI need to cover my non- EEA wife who is currently non-employed?

I have read contradicting answers. I personally believe that the CSI is supposed to only cover the EEA national for the time he is studying.

You are correct.

For students, CSI is only required for the EEA national and not the family member. (See 4(1)(d)(ii) & 4(3)).
