can i apply for an EEA permit

I came to the UK last year under a visit visa,I applied for a renewal to continue with my army application and I was granted another 6months which expires on the 3rd of Aug.my EEA partner wants us to marry.If we do before the expiration date of my visa,will I be eligible for an EEA residence card,will i be able to enter into a civil partnership with her in the UK and if yes what documents will I need..Thank you..

If your partner is exercising treaty rights in the UK and you are married/in civil partnership (same gender marriage), you can apply for a Residence Card. It doesn't matter if you apply before or after your current visa expires. The immigration history is not relevant for such application.
I'm not familiar with the procedure now as you are not required to ask for a permission from the HO to marry any more but you should check if you can marry with a visitor visa.
