EEA living outside EU and coming to UK with non-EEA spouse

Hello,

I'm reading about the 'New rules to be introduced from 09-Jul-12' and there's one case that I don't understand yet.

I am an EEA national married to a non-EEA person and currently living in the UK, she currently holds the EEA2 residence card for 5 years.

We are now thinking about going and living outside Europe for a few years but with all the new rules, not sure what could happen when we try to come back in the future.

Assuming that we'll have savings to prove the financial requirements, would it be ok for the EEA national to come back to the UK without a job offer and sponsor his non-EEA spouse without further problem? or is there any other rule that requires the EEA person to have been living/working here for a specific period before being allowed to come to the UK and sponsor his non-EEA spouse whilst he's then looking for a job?

Many thanks....

The new changes that you refer to have nothing to do with EEA regulations.

Thank you!

And do you know what we'll need to come back to the UK in the future?

This time I was able to prove employment and the paperwork was easy as I was settled in the UK, but if we leave the country, would it be easy to then get another Residence card or Family Permit for her taking into account that we might be coming back without a job (but with savings)?
