Questions about EEA family permit visa Help Please!!

I am from Thailand and my girlfriend from France also both of us are student.
I have been in UK since December 2011 and we have met together since April 2012 after that we have been together as couple and will live together next month.
I have been worked as part-time job since Febuary about 10 hour/week also she is finding a job at the moment.
I know that it quite a short time for us for thinking about getting married but we are planning about getting married that why i have been wondered and have a few questions.
1. Is it possible for me to get EEA family permit VISA also I am confused about EEA family permit and EEA2 Residence card because some people said that i have to back to my country for getting married and come back to England for EEA2 Residence card. or Can i do everything in England? and also i do not understand what exactly that Visa about?
2. If i can get the EEA family permit or EEA2 Residence card,Then what is the next step that i should have to do?
3. How difficult to get this Visa because i know both of us are students However,we will work for cost of living in UK.
4. What would you recommend i have to find the lawyer for helping or i can do everything myself?
5. If my family will support us,It will make it easier for applying the Visa or It is the same?
I called to Immigration service for asking about this situation and i got a lot of information.They said that my girlfriend has to find a job by going to job centre but if she could not get any job then we have to do a private medical insurance or something.
After that,we have to show bank statement but we did not have it yet.
Moreover,they said about sworn statement but i did not understand what did they mean.
i have tried to read these informations.However,i still have a lot of quetions in my head and i could not find it out.
