Hi All,
Anybody knows the percentage of Family Permit Visas issued in Germany and France in 2011 or before today, August 1 2012?

Your question lacks a certain context. 100% of legitimate applications are issued, whether that be at the time of applying or eventually, after appealing. The number of applications that were not legitimate and were not appealed or re-applied is, perhaps, beyond the scope of this discussion?

This is wrong.
Many applications are rejected for very incorrect reasons. Many of those applicants to not bother appealing. And so each of those rejections stands (i.e. is never challenged).
Sometimes people then move on to reapply, and sometimes they think to themselves that the hassle of visiting the UK is too much and so they go on vacation somewhere else.

Why
exactly are you being so harsh with this poster's question?
WalexK, Good question!
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/27885818/UK/UK ... d-2011.xls is a spreadsheet with the EEA FP refusal statistics for various posts. For Germany/France the relevant posts are:
Dusseldorf 6%
"UK Visa Section" 9%
Paris 7%

Very good question!
UKBA claims that they do not have that information and that it is too expensive to find through an FOI request

I see.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Chisinau 73%. I attempted years ago to invite my best friend from college days, but they didn't even accept his application demanding that he provided £120 for each day of his stay. Outrageous knowing that average salary in Moldova is $100 a month. Its so unfair!!

Remember that these are just refusal statistics for EEA Family Permits. And there are very few legal reasons the EEA FP can be turned down.

Many thanks for your quick respond, Directive 2004/38/EC. This is exactly what I have been searching for. I have look through all the forum, I cannot get these results. I am trying to compare different countries Refusal rate, most especially those countries from Europe.

Were you able to open the spreadsheet? If you have any problems at all, let me know. I can also do it as a PDF for you sorted in any particular order
