applying for NI NUMBER WITH Certificate of Application

hi guys, i applied RC Using EEA2
i had my COA with to work. i have been to an NI interview and i am waiting for a decission.
do i have a chance to be allocated one? has any one used their CoA with right to work to get an NI NUMBER?
my passport still with HOME OFFICE but i did have certified copies of everything.
would love to hear know what my chances are. they said approx 2 weeks for a decission.

You have the right to work , the NI is only a number for paying contributions , if they do not give you one , then you cannot pay the tax contributions.

It is just a formality , if you never applied , they would have given you one as soon as you started work anyway , emergency number, your tax bill would have been much higher though.

they are legally required to give you an NI number
