Perhaps it's a conspiracy :)

I suspect that it might be there so that fingerprints are not demanded of persons to whom freedom of movement applies when presenting themselves at the border, EEA family permit holders in this case.

It may well be :D lol

definitely not going to test your theory with a biometric passport though. (not even after heating it up in the microwave for 5 mins :lol:

only joking , tampering etc. my sense of humour is nearly as bad as my spelling, I believe you are right , i am just being nosey.
