Return flight for person on EEA family visa?

Hi, my partner is joining me in the UK on an EEA family permit. The visa is for 6 months but we are planning on applying for a residence card via EEA2 when he arrives. I have booked a one way ticket for him but am slightly worried he may be asked to show a return flight as the visa is only for 6 months. Can anyone advise?

Many thanks
Frankie

Why are you worried? There is no need to be. He holds a valid visa, he will be admitted.

The visa is only an entry visa. And it can be used for entering any time over the next six months.

As long as you are in the UK and are doing things like working, the family member can stay with you forever. RC is optional, though very useful for travel and for working.
