Hi i would like some answers on my situation as find the uk border agency website not helpful.
I am from england and my boyfriend is from Romania. we have been living together in romania for 3 years and next year we plan to move to england so both of us can work.

so is it possible to apply for a visa based on our relationship?

i have found a document that states we can apply this way but on the website there is no application form for this type of visa?

as we are both living in romania do we go through the uk embassy in england or romania?

Is your boyfriend a Romanian national? Romanians do not require a visa to enter the UK.

However, if he wants to work, he may need permission to do so. Read the attached link (there are exceptions and exemptions)

Note that these restrictions disappear on 1st Jan 2014 and Romanian nationals will be treated just like any other EU national.
