Student finance

Hi all,I applied for permanent resident in april ,and also got a place to go back to uni this sept,and student finance keeps telling me I wont get help with tuition fees except they see my passport..my lawyer advice me to call the home office for my passport...will student fiancé accepts residence permit or I should rather wait to get my permanent resident and defer my admission.

What nationality are you?
You can ask for your passport back at any time without affecting the application.
