marriage and city council

hello every body . i am going to marry with an european national . we have just moved into new city i want to know that my fiancee is a student if i take lease on her name we can save council tax . but when we will go to council to take appointment as i work full time will they ask me to provide that do i pay council tax or not if this will b a issue then i can take lease on the name of both of us and will pay council tax thanks.

By taking lease on your wife's name actually you are avoiding council tax not saving and it will cause you difficulties if not now then in future so please just to save £50-100 do not take this risk.
