Hi,
I would like to know if i can apply for a biometric residence permit card after i've been issued a 5 years residence card "EEA2"? it's all because my passport will expire before the residence card and i don't want to go through all the hustle of re-apply for the eea2 again.

There is no biometric residence permit card for EU family members. You can carry expired passport and valid residence card together.

IF you want residence card in the new passport, you will need to re-apply.
