Hi, I am non-eea family member of eea national and I have already applied for my PR in August 2012, COA received on 18/09/12...beside all supporting docs I have enclosed both my and my wife's passport.
Now, my question is that my wife's eea passport expiring in first week of December 2012, so do I have to send a new one before it expires? Or it will be OK as I have already received my COA and it was valid by that time... So just need to wait for outcome!
I'll really appreciate any advice in this matter. Thx

You should be fine. The passport was valid at the time of the application.

You have the CoA, so they have already checked your wife's passport (as proof of identity and nationality).

I would request this passport back now, so your wife can apply for a new one before it expires. There is no need to send the new passport to UKBA, unless UKBA asks for it explicitly. And I am pretty sure they will not do that, as it is no longer needed to decide your application.
