Going home for 7 weeks with Residence Card?

My wife is from Peru but she is living here in the UK with me (her husband) on her 'Residence Card'. I am from Sweden, so she got her 'Residence card' through the EEA route, so to speak(...of a family member of an EEA National). She now plan to go back to Peru for 6 weeks, over Christmas, New Year and her parents birthdays (6 weeks, all in all). Will it be any problems for her to re-entry into the UK when she has been away for so long? It is not a permanent residence, but issued for 5 years. Thank you for your help!

Not an issue at all. Upto 6 months absences don't affect residence.

6 weeks are normal, but if more then 6 months then it may be a problem at the time of PR.

HI, it was mentioned if one is out of uk with RC for over 6MONTHS, and at the time of getting PR it will affect the application.

i just want to know how and in what way? i know holder of RC are not allowed to be out of UK for more than 6MNTHS in 1year. but the question is how wld the HO knw how long one has been out for? in a particular year, as i never get any stamp on my passprt / RC wenever i get bck into the UK. On the other hand, no record shows dat i came bck to the uk at a particular date/month after holiday away.

Maybe because the application form for PR requires you to state your travel and provide evidence of your residence during the 5 years.

Also unless you use a broomstick, your travel information will be stored by the carrier (and the HO have access to that).
