I send my EEA2 application with my passport on 15 Nov 2013 and received the COA on 20th Nov, dated on 17th Nov. On 23rd Nov, I send email to requesting my passport back as I have booked a family Christmas holiday. 18 days now, I haven't received my passport back.

I called UKBA twice today and was told that request is received and nothing I can do, except to wait.

We are leaving in 7 days, I am getting really worried about it now. I wonder this due to work load or they keep my passport on purpose.

Does any one have the same problem?

They move slowly at UKBA. The Germans fully issue the RC in the same time as the British take to open the application.

Keep pushing, but it is likely that you will not get your passport back in 7 days.

Have a look here: http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=119593 - there's quite a few of us having trouble getting our passports back. I first requested mine on the 14/11, thinking that would be plenty of time to receive it before Christmas - but it isn't looking good
