Please can someone tell what supporting documents are required for a uk national living in spain with his thai wife who has temporary residency there until 2014 to enable them to come to the uk . docs required if working or self employed and for what period. If the uk national has registered as self employed with the spanish tax office but has not actually paid any tax will this suffice as uk national has only been working as self employed for a few months. also what other docs are required

There has to be some evidence of economic activity. Simply saying i am registered without any evidence of having undertaken a genuine economic activity, will not bring you within the ambit of Surinder Singh, as per the UK requirement.
