outstanding EEA2 application - can I travel?

Hi,

I currently have an outstanding EEA2 application. I have recently received my passport back to travel for work whilst my application is being considered. I would also like to travel for personal holidays now that I have my passport back.

Does anyone know or has anyone had experience travelling for personal holiday whilst your EEA2 application is still being considered?

Thanks!

You can travel if you wish. Whether you will have any problems entering your destination or re-entering the UK would depend on your nationality. If a visa national, you would need a visa.

Thanks for your reply.

I am an Australian national so I do not need a visa to enter the UK. Have you heard of people having trouble coming back in to the UK?

To come back in I will have my certificate of application, the letter from the UKBA employer checker department saying I have the right to work in the UK and a copy of my husband's Irish passport.

Thanks!

If you get to a border, it will be easy for you to demonstrate that you meet the requirements. For visa nationals (not you), getting to the border is the problem.
