EEA2 application questions

Hi everyone,

I am Italian and will start a Postgraduate course in London from September. My wife and I are planning to stay there for good after the course. I know she should apply for a Family permit before moving, but my question is:

When she asks for the EEA2, is it enough to show that I am a student or we need to show financial proofs as well.

Thanks in advance

Stefan

You will have to demonstrate that you have a medical insurance, and that you have adequate resource to cover you and your family during your stay in the UK. Alternatively an undertaking to that effect can be make assuring the secretary of state that this will be the case.

Thank you. So,the fact that I will be a student doesn´t change the fact that I will have to show financial proofs... still, we will need to be working or have enough savings, which means the same thing for a non student european, is that correct?

My wife is brazilian and i am italian. She will apply for eea 2 very soon. I am working for 3 weeks now and i am wondering if she can apply as soon as my first payslip is issued. Is there any problem with that, or we must wait for 3 months. Thank you

I have searched but couldn't find the answer to my question in this forum, is it necessary to wait for 3 months payslips to prove my treaty rights?

No need to wait 3 months.
Apply with 1 or 2 payslips or if you don't want to wait, a letter from employer confirming your employment or the employment contract.
