New A1 stamps for 2 months

Hi to Everyone,

Does anyone heard about someone's experience after expiration of A1 stamp?

My concern is that if border officials would insist to place stamp A1 only for 2 months, would that inconvenience us somehow to get residence card if we apply after period of 2 months?

Or even if we were here to assume that I found job after 3 months stay in UK, has anyone heard of someone who applied for residence card for their NON-EEA family members after this period?

It seems to me that in spite of EU Law , officials who deal with applications in whatever country always like to see valid visa for stay, and personally I haven't read many case of people who were without valid visa while applying for residence card.

I will much appreciate your input.

Under EEA regulations, the rights of family member are derived from the EEA national activities and are not dependant on having a valid visa.

Just search for "overstayer" in the forum and you will find plenty stories of overstayers who married an EEA national and obtained RC.
