Hi all,

My 2 brothers and I applied EEA2 six months ago,4 months after sending our applications,I send a letter to the Immigration Board requesting our a sponsors passports. Two weeks later our sponsors passports were send back but unfortunately my passport was included with a letter asking me to send back my passport only if they request me to do soo. We received our visa 1week ago but unfortunately mine was on a paper.

My question is,can I send back my passport to the immigration board and ask them to put my visa in my passport?if yes will I have to pay any fee for that?

Thanks for you advice

Usually when a caseworker has no passport at the decision time then EEA2 RC is being issued on paper which has the same worth as its being stamped on passport. But in some occasions it might cause inconvenience to prove its legality. And transferring it to passport is equal to make a fresh new application which will be free.

Also, if you reapply, it would be fresh application and you would have to rejoin the queue.

Have you suffered any inconvenience since receiving it? It will entirely depend on your level of patience/affordability which you might have learnt from previous application.

The residence card on A4 paper is a valid residence card.
