Hello,
I have being in the Uk for over 5yrs under valid student and post study work visas respectively, i got married to my partner (eea national) in london with proof of wedding certificate march this year , i sent my EEA2 application in with all the required documents on the 31st of may 2013, i got my certificate of application lastweek basically saying I DO NOT HAVE RIGHT TO WORK untill my application is dealt with.

could this be a mistake? beacuse i am aware that married spouses have a right to work (my husband works aswell at the moment and i have sent evidences to prove).

what can i do please my visa expires in a few days and my employers need my certificate of application with proof to work before i can continue with my employment.

your expert advice and experiences is needed ASAP please!
Thank you for your time. : :?

Yes it seems like a mistake because you applied as married partner of EU national and therefore, your COA must confirm your right of work. You can write them for issuing you the correct one.

I called HO and they said I have right to work, the letter was based of me still having a valid visa and they can confirm that to any employer. Phew! Thanks

I would be inclined to ask them to re-issue the COA with the correct information.
