EEA 4 & Absence

I moved to the Uk when in 1996 but moved to Ireland from 2000-2003 and then back to the UK.

I am now completing the EEA 4 application and have entered the date i first arrived in the Uk as 1996 in section 8.1 and then in section 9.11 asked how long you have lived in the Uk - to which i have written over 13 and stating that i moved to ireland from 2000-2003.

Now this has all been explained in my EEA 2 application and was wondering if i need to draw any attention to this in my cover letter?

I have made the cover letter simple by simply referring to how i have met the requirement to qualify for permanent residence and the evidence attached.

Thanks

Thought to add, 5 year residence card was received in 2008 and there has been no absence from the uk since receiving the card.

Basically, you need to demonstrate that you lived in the UK for the required time, generally five years. I would not worry to much about prior absences that would have no bearing on the success of your application.
