Registering marriage in Registrar office uk

Hi all
I just want to know is anybody have experience about registering marriage in UK.
I m talking an appointment for marriage but scare about some things.
I m from Pakistan and my girl friend from Romania.
But I m confuse what type of questions will they ask.
Another thing why arresting ppl in registrar office.
My visa will expire in 21,/10/13
